My goal as a music teacher is to inspire students to play to the best of their ability and to give them the tools necessary to pursue their musical goals with confidence. I also hope that the lessons they learn while studying music will prove valuable in other areas of life as well.I have been teaching piano since the Fall of 1997. I continue to learn and grow as a teacher and as a musician. I have been blessed with many skilled and patient teachers throughout the years and hope that I can relay the valuable lessons I have learned from them to my students.
My music background has been varied and has spanned many different stages of my life and levels of focus as well. I began piano lessons never thinking I would one day be teaching. I enjoyed music and played because I liked it and probably also because I was too stubborn to quit when things got difficult.
Some of my music experience includes:
- Grade 10 RCM & All Theory Co-Requisites
- ARCT Teacher's Written, ARCT Teacher's Viva Voce, ARCT Practical
- Music for Young Children, Levels 1-3
- Choer Des Femme, Ladies Choir (Prairie Bible College) 2003/2004 Academic Year
- Masterworks Choir (Community/School Choir), Handel's Messiah, Fall 2003
- Prairie Bible College, 1st year Music Studies
